SPZ203. Academic Writing: structure, topic development and writing techniques,
Are you writing a paper or thesis in English?
This workshop will address structure development, citations, paraphrasing and summarizing background and supporting literature, common phrases and collocations used in academic English and tips for academic writing in English.
This workshop is designed for Bachelor and MA students from all faculties, who are currently writing papers in English.
Participants should bring their writing assignment and any background research to the class.
Students are invited to enroll through STUD-IP.

Steht Ihre erste Seminararbeit an oder vielleicht sogar die Abschlussarbeit?
Der Workshop “Einstieg in ein Schreibprojekt” hilft dabei, eine solche schriftliche Arbeit zu planen und einen Einstieg zu finden. Neben Übungen zur Themenfindung und -eingrenzung beschäftigen wir uns v.a. mit dem Aufbau akademischer Texte.
Im Anschluss an den Workshop bieten wir Interessierten die Möglichkeit einer individuellen Unterstüzung beim Verfassen eigener Texte.

The Schreibwerkstatt is teaming up with the library to offer a night filled with research, writing and revision support for students writing in German and English.
Bring your term papers to the main library on March 7th, 2013 and join students from all departments as you finish your papers!
There will be:
- areas to write in,
- writing tutors to talk to,
- writing seminars for those writing in German,
- writing seminars for those writing in English,
- information courses about the opportunities and resources in the library (including how to use RefWorks!),
- yoga courses
- and more!
Students from all departments are welcome.
